GPB (Switzerland) Ltd. (formerly Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd) (“GPBS”) is a fully licensed Swiss financial institution, regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA and 100% owned by Gazprombank (Joint Stock Company), registered in Moscow, Russia.
GPBS’ license covers all traditional corporate banking services and execution-only services to private clients in Switzerland and abroad. GPBS leverages its combined knowledge of the Swiss and Russian and CIS financial markets to offer a comprehensive set of services to its clients.
The total Assets and Equity of GPBS were CHF 1.4 billion and CHF 212 million respectively as of 30 June 2022. Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd employs around 70 highly skilled and multilingual professionals.
On 10 October 2022 GPBS announced a gradual wind-down of banking operations over the next months. Due to regulatory requirements, the name has changed from Gazprombank (Switzerland) Ltd to GPB (Switzerland) Ltd effective 10 October 2022. The voluntary wind-down process is managed by GPBS management in coordination with FINMA. GPBS continues banking operations during the wind-down period in accordance with the existing banking license and continues to be under FINMA supervision.
